although we're focusing on promos now, we should also think about what we're gonna do AFTER promos - PLAY!!!

haha ok cut to the chase. on the 4th of october, the saturday after promos end (yayy!), ares fac comm is organizing this FOS practice session for the aresians! it's roughly from 9am - 1pm, and during that time everyone will get to practice their various sports.

this is impt so we don't get thrashed during FOS and can trash other facs instead. and when you're thrashing other people, it makes it all so much more fun! HAHA

FURTHERMORE, after the FOS practice session we are gonna have CLASS PARTY/OUTING. whoo hoo!! so yes all the more reason to go for the practice session cos then we'll get to spend the entire saturday together having fun!!

i know you all are pretty busy and occupied with your own stuff, plus there's dance night this weekend, but F.Y.I: there's also a play by ELDDFS on the 16/17 of may too!!

i guess you would have seen the posters around school of this year's ELDDFS drama production: "How the other half loves". unfortunately, possibly due to the lack of publicity/interest by students who are less inclined to theatre/overshadowing by the ever popular dance night (which i must say is very good :P), the ticket sales have been very disappointing. according to insider's reports, only a mere 30% of the tickets have been sold. yes. 30%. my heart really goes out to them.

i think it is really quite sad that our fellow drama mates aren't given the due they deserve. i went to watch their recent S24 Shakespeare performance where they performed Twelth Night, and they were AMAZING. THEY TOTALLY ROCKED MY SOCKS. and not to mention, they left the audience in peals of hysterical laughter. seriously. i admit that i wasn't very keen in the first place, but luckily kaiyi and zakiyah dragged me along and i must say it must be the best $8 i have ever spent. they totally blew RJ out of the water.

apparently, the tchr-in-charge specially booked the performance timeslot just so it wouldn't clash with anything else. well, it seems like he overlooked dance night. :P so in a nutshell, he was pretty disappointed. and this is their SYF performance piece, which is actually happening tmr, 14 may, so you'll be guaranteed a show of quality. the actors, directors and teachers have been working very hard, and not to mention the time and money spent on props. (huang cheng ppl should know) and i think it's so sad that if this keeps up, the annual drama production would be forgone next year, or even perhaps for subsequent years to come.

i'm just saying, cos you know, the theatre is nothing without it's audience. and without an audience, it's taking away the chance of performing from these EXTREMELY talented individuals. put yourselves in their shoes. i'm sure none of us would feel good if no one went to support our sports matches/performances, so let's just support them this once, and who knows? you just might want more. :)

Hello! (:

This is my first post on class blog! And I'm here to update all of you (if you haven't known) about our FAMILY TREE! (:

Currently, Joyce is head of the family, with four kids to boast! Jun Long, Li Thong, Grace and one J2 guy (I don't know why he's in here). Grace is the youngest kid! (: Oh yes, Jelly is their maid (Grace insists on having a personal maid. XD) Oh and Joyce says she treats the guys better than the girls. XD

Requirements to be Joyce's HUSBAND:

1. Be taller than Jun Long. XD

2. Be smarter than, or as smart as a BIO SMTP student.

Joyce doesn't want anymore kids. XD and all her kids must be taller than her. XD

Now, on to their cousins!

Joyce has an (elder?) sister, 青春美少女！ or more commonly known as Zhou Jing the auntie. I can't remember if Zhou Jing has kids. Oh well.

Charlene is their cousin from the paternal side! And I'm her younger sister who is adopted from Africa/Thailand/China. XD

And that's like, the end of our family tree, with only three branches. Feel free to tag and add yourselves in! (:

You can even be creative and label yourselves King and Queen of Island Tikitimbaktu/Kingdom of Chromium or something. XD

it's the statue of ARES!! i think he's waaaaaaaayyy cuter than Apollo. and apparently he's quite the Ladies' Man. :P HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! you can find this statue in the Louvre Museum in Paris, or if you went to the exhibition while the pieces were on our sunny little island. it was really cool!! :)))))

like what miss kong said, we need to make up 3 hours of lessons because of the good friday holidays and the day off they gave us next week (woohoo!) So we'll have chem make up lessons - 1 hour a week, for 3 weeks.

We have 2 options:
1. Tuesday, 5-6pm.
2. Friday, 3-4pm (during our 1 hour break) Which means that we'll have a string of consecutive lessons all the way from 12 to 4!

So which one do you guys prefer? It's difficult to find other days/timings when the whole class is free...

We are going to have a CLASS OUTING.

Well, the reason for having this Class Outing, is well firstly, we never had one before so it's high time we should have one. Secondly, the first gathering was fun, but kinda failure cus less than half the class turned up. Therefore, we should have a CLASS outing, where a least 3/4 of the class turns up.

today was an interesting day. and it also couldn't get more bloody. :P i actually planned to keep as many red blood cells as i could in my body, but ahh well, peer pressure is a very strong influence. but it's for a good cause so it's ok. :)

so some of us, namely Zhou Jing, Grace, Jiawei, Shilbe, Del, Hwei Ee and yours truly, pledged our bone marrows by being pricked on our thumbs for blood samples. what can i say? our senior, jacq, is very persuasive. :) pictures are worth a thousand words, and there's 10 of them so it's 10,000 words. :P

hwei ee was super nervous at first. just look at the expression on his face!! truly comical! :P

i was just looking through some photos in my computer and on the jumpstart orientation blog and i found SOME pictures of us during orientation(:

we made $143+ by the way. i know i told some people we made $166 but i forgot to minus the $27 worth of coin change thatr i added in before we started selling. so yeah(:

THATS QUITE ALOT CONSIDERING WE ONLY SOLD FOR LESS THAN 45 MINS (:

woohoo good job to the welfare reps for creating this blog! This rocks! (: Haha and seeing this blog is about posting reminders, I guess I'll post a homework checklist every weekend for everyone. (: I hope it helps.

So for this week, we have:
- Math Tutorials 3,4 (Monday, optional)
- Biology Tutorial (Carbohydrates) (Tuesday)
- Biology Concept Check (Due Tuesday)
- Chemistry Tutorial (Until Question 21) (Due wed?)

But, despite having second thoughts about creating this blog for 08S72, I eventually did.
How.. retarded.
